The reviews I see here surprise me and do not align at all with my experience. I adore Dr. Rose. She's been my internist for more than 7 years and I journey from the Hudson Valley to Lower Manhattan because her office runs like clockwork and she is so caring and thorough. There is a long wait for an appointment because she's in high demand; specialists at NYU recommend her. I find her to be very thorough and careful; she's also direct, which I appreciate. For instance, in past years, she has told me point-blank how to lower my A1C and how important that is to health. She can be reached promptly for urgent telemed appointments, which are easily scheduled on the NYU portal. She responds to lab results almost instantaneously. She's extremely well-trained and experienced. I couldn't ask for anything more. It's a new age in medicine because insurance companies squeeze doctors; that's not Dr. Rose's fault.

All of her reviews echo my concerns, but I want to provided further proof as to why her ratings are so low. I’ve had a very frustrating experience with this doctor. Appointments are only available a full year in advance, which makes it almost impossible to get timely care. On top of that, there’s no direct phone number for the office — you have to go through NYU’s central customer service, who then reach out to the doctor’s office and call you back later with a response. This back-and-forth makes communication painfully slow and impersonal. When I finally did get an appointment, the doctor didn’t even remember me from my last visit. It felt completely disconnected, like I was just another name in a system instead of a patient she’s cared for over time. The whole experience feels more like dealing with a corporation than a personal physician who knows your history and genuinely cares about your health. I expected much more from someone in her position and wouldn’t recommend her if you’re looking for consistent, personalized care.

I have been a patient for years, and the office has such terrible customer service I just cannot take it anymore. I booked a physical today in June for January 7 of next year. The called today told me she can’t make it, and now my appointment is in August. Save yourself pain and suffering do not use the office. Your time is too valuable

I used Dr. Rose as my primary care physician for five years. She ignored and dismissed a result in my annual blood work that pointed to a genetic bone condition. I repeatedly asked her about it and she ignored it - for years! Even after I suffered bone breaks and brought up the blood work again, she dismissed it. And never offered me a referral about it. She also dismissed my early perimenopause symptoms, leaving me struggling with them on my own. Not caring that I felt my quality of life declining because of it. She just told me to exercise and change my diet. My BMI is 19.5 - so that was not the issue. Maybe NYU overworks people until they just don't care and they aren't willing to make any extra effort for patients. Idk. But I truly regret that my care was in her hands for so long and my issues were dismissed for so long.

Dr. Rose does not care about her patients. During my physical I told her how I was trying to stop smoking and all the things I tried, acupuncture, patches, gum etc. Instead of recommending anything or giving a prescription, she said "try harder". I went back for a follow up weeks later and saw a nurse practioner and I told her what happened in my visit with Dr. Rose. The NP was furious with Dr. Rose's response and apologized for her.
