I'm so glad I found Dr. Jean-Pierre after a bad fall skiing that left my knee a mess. He got me in quickly and he made me feel so much better right away, both mentally and physically. He took one look at my knee and knew there was fluid buildup. Did a quick ultrasound to confirm, and as nervous as I was (I'm a big baby with no pain tolerance), he drained it quickly and painlessly. Just like he said, I could suddenly bend and straighten my knee so much easier. I walked out of there feeling almost normal again. What really helped was how calming he was about the whole thing. He explained everything clearly, was super empathetic, and reassured me that I'd recover well. When you're hurt and stressed, that makes such a difference. Can't recommend him enough if you need an orthopedic doctor who knows their stuff and cares. Thank you so much Dr. Jean- Pierre!

I was referred to Dr. Jean Pierre by a physician I deeply respect, someone whose clinical judgment I have always trusted. Unfortunately, based on my personal experience, I now believe that his trust was misplaced, at least when it came to this particular recommendation. Let me begin by acknowledging that Dr. Jean Pierre did offer a clinical perspective that differed from the aggressive surgical path another provider had encouraged. I appreciated having an alternative opinion, and under his care, I did experience improvement. That is the only reason this review is not purely negative. However, medicine is not just about outcomes. It is about people. It is about integrity. It is about how patients are treated when they are most vulnerable. And that is where my experience with Dr. Jean Pierre unraveled completely. From our first meeting, I sensed a troubling dynamic. I had mentioned, in passing, that I had lost a significant amount of weight due to a healthier lifestyle. My referring doctor had expressed some concern about possible muscle mass loss. Dr. Jean Pierre quickly suggested a procedure offered at another practice he is affiliated with. When I inquired about insurance coverage, he told me it was entirely out of pocket and that no provider offered it through insurance. He underestimated me and the internet. I took the time to research, and within minutes after leaving his office, I found multiple providers offering the exact same service through insurance. All I needed was a referral. I reached out to clarify, hoping this was a simple oversight or perhaps a misunderstanding. But after repeated emails with his staff and a final hostile phone call in which he flatly refused to provide the referral, I could no longer pretend this was anything but deliberate. His concern was not my well-being; it was profit. He was only interested in providing the service if he would personally benefit financially. That is a line no ethical provider should ever cross. Despite this, I gave him another chance. I even referred others to him, still trying to believe that my first experience was an anomaly. I returned to see him again for the same condition. But what happened next confirmed everything I had feared about his character. He was unrecognizably disrespectful. Arrogant. Presumptuous. Condescending. Dismissive. He spoke to me in a way no person, let alone a patient seeking help, should ever be spoken to. The encounter was so demeaning that I had no choice but to get up and walk out in the middle of the appointment. Doctors often meet people at their most fragile moments. To treat someone with such disregard when they are seeking support is more than unprofessional. It is cruel. This experience was not just disappointing. It was devastating. I would never want another person to go through what I did. Medical care must be rooted in trust, ethics, and compassion. Dr. Jean Pierre may be clinically competent, but that alone is not enough. This was not care. It was a transaction. And I refuse to allow anyone else to be misled the way I was.
