  This place is horrible I have been given four appointments which keeps getting canceled the first appointment I went to after I sat there a hour they come to tell me that they didn’t have the aquitment to do my test then make three more appointments which they kept canceling

  Dont ever arrive early to any appointments here. They make you wait a very long time. They call you about 10x to remind you of an appointment time they can’t keep. They also refer everyone to get a cpap machine in efforts to milk the insurance. Don’t waste your time/money coming here.

  1:30 appointment, got seen at 4 o'clock for a 5 minute assessment. If you have anything to do on your appointment day, cancel it. They take way more people that they can, yet chase you to confirm your appointment.

  I do not recommend going to see this doctor. His manner of operation is unsatisfactory and his word cannot be trusted. He was supposed to fax a required form to a pharmacy for a necessary medication. A week later I call to find out the status of the medication. He tells me that he faxed the form, but he has not heard back from the pharmacy yet. He requests that I call him back on Monday to remind him to check on the status (I didn't understand why I had to remind him to do his job, but I did so anyway). It is now over a month since I made that phone call to remind him about checking on the prescription, and I have not heard from him since. Today I called the pharmacy to check on the status and give new insurance information, and they said they only had my old doctor's information, as well as my old phone number and my old address. They stated they never received my enrollment form from Dr. Basit that he claimed he sent to them. I am trusting the word of this pharmacy over Dr. Basit, because I had received this medication from them in the past for a period of about 5 years and I never ever had a single problem with receiving my medication from this pharmacy. Unfortunately, the only way to receive this medication is for the prescribing doctor to submit the enrollment form directly to the pharmacy; otherwise, I would just do it myself. He also refused to prescribe me some type of sleep medicine in the interim so that I can get at least a few hours of decent sleep. I initially saw him 1 month and 3 weeks ago and seeing him has been pointless. The fact that he told me that he had never prescribed my required medicine before should have been a red flag that he is not a real sleep specialist. For some reason, in New York, pulmonologists are allowed to label themselves as sleep specialists which I think is misleading. When the average person hears sleep specialist the assumption is that the doctor is a neurologist, not a pulmonologist (not everyone who has a sleep disorder has sleep apnea). If you have a sleep disorder other than sleep apnea, do not waste your time going to see Dr. Basit.

  Horrible! Unprofessional and unorganized! I just sat in their office for over an hour just to pick up a machine! Four people came in after me and all four were seen before me. I will never come back here again!
