The Brooklyn location I have been dealing with has got to be the worst. This is the absolutely worst agency I have dealt with. My son’s doctor has been gone for 3 months and my son has not seen another doctor yet and now I am told he has to wait another month to see a doctor. In the meantime, he was given 2 appointments and the doctor was a no show. Now I am told today that they just got a new doctor, so why did you schedule 2 appointments for him knowing you don’t have a doctor. Then he was scheduled an in-person appointment, spent over an hour and a half on the trains with my son only to get there and was told, there is no doctor in office. The supervisor I spoke with today, was so condescending that I had to hang up the phone. The is unacceptable. No one deserves to be treated this way, not because your clients are special needs that you need to treat them with disregard and disrespect. Shame on this agency that takes insurance companies money but provides substandard service. I hope others have a better experience because there are more negative experiences that I did not write about. Be careful and think twice before going to Metro Community Health in Brooklyn on Livingston street.

Went to the Brooklyn location for in person appt with a doctor who is leaving and I will not see again. Next appt is with a new doctor and since I haven’t seen her yet she can’t do anything. Why would you tell me only the first visit is in person for the year then tell me for the second visit I have to come in because the doctor YOU scheduled me for is leaving knowing what a physical inconvenience it is to come in. I had to beg someone to have common sense to see that the burden shouldn’t be placed on me for what the clinic did. Makes no sense. Then the medication that the first doctor was supposed to give me can’t be given until I see the next doctor a whole month later after you had me come in back to back for blood work. I bet they will ask for blood work again if I come back. Basically I had to miss two days of school for nothing. This is a failed visit. I forgot to mention I had to come in the second day because the lady was too scared to draw my blood on the first day I was there and they kept asking me parents for group home paper work. I live with my parents.

I am not sure if the other reviewers even have the right place but, I have been coming to Metro Community Health Centers (MCHC) for about 4.5 years, have been to every location, except Queens, and the Downtown Brooklyn office is my home-base. MCHC is a healthcare cooperative of the most professional staff of front desk, nursing and Providers/Physicians I've ever had, and I am middle-aged. If only MCHC existed 10-30 years ago because my health outcomes today's would be near perfect. I am grateful that MCHC exists because for the last almost 5 years, I've been getting the type of care, from many specialties like PCP, Dental, Podiatry, that I should have had throughout my life. I can now go to 1 location and see all of my Providers. The Family Nurse Practioners are just as awesome, professional and skilled as their M. D. counterparts. The front desk staff? They know the patient/clients by name, they are always present, patient, courteous, kind and ready to assist and the waiting room is run and maintained beautifully. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else for my Health and Wellness needs. Patient/Client since November 2019. PEC

Scheduling staff is absolutely incompetent!! They keep setting us up for appointment without telling us or checking with us - appointments we didn’t ask for - and only call the day before those appointment- that we weren’t told about - saying “reminder that you have an appointment tomorrow” What?!? I told them and the doctor about this several times and nothing changes. In addition I get charged for appointments I supposedly missed because I didn’t know about them. The last I cancelled during one of those calls, the next day I get a call “why aren’t you at your appointment?” It’s driving me insane!! Absolutely incompetent!
