After receiving and confirming 2 different confirmation texts—including one an hour before my appointment—I was told I was too late for my appointment to see the doctor. I was LITERALLY 3 minutes late, and would have been on time if the system sent me to the right address. The receptionist, who was lovely, took more minutes to look up my info than the amount of minutes I was “late.” I don’t understand. I am absolutely devastated, as getting this appointment was extremely difficult for me—not to mention expensive, as I took a $25 car to get here. (I wouldn’t be here if I could afford another doctor.) Not to mention that another email I received told me not to arrive more than 15 minutes early. I’ve never experienced anything like this. I feel absolutely awful, confused, and frustrated beyond belief. What a shame. NOTE: THE ADDRESS IN THIS CONFIRMATION TEXT WAS THE WRONG ADDRESS FYI for new patients: The *correct* address is 120 Lawrence—not 57 Willoughby. If you made your appointment through ZocDoc, it might have given you the wrong address. ETA: The receptionist was very kind and understanding, and she brought her supervisor Iris to speak with me. Iris was also super lovely, as well as the rest of the medical staff. I am keeping my review as-is for documentation purposes, but despite my frustrating experience as a first-time patient, the medical and reception staff (outside of the doctor who refused to see me) were very kind.

I've been a client at housing works at the DBHW location. I want to give 5 stars to one of the Concierge, the people that greet you when you arrive at the clinic. Her name is Ajzhane. She always has a beautiful smile that says I really like working here. She is friendly and professional too. 5 stars !!!!

Once I am able to change my insurance I will definitely be switching providers. Having used callen-lorde and folx. There are barely competent accessible providers. They are losing blood work multiple times, throwing away urine samples so I have to keep schlepping to and fro, there is consistent miscommunication between departments, I’ve received random accusatory drug screenings, and numerous and ridiculous hoops I have to jump through to get medication refills. grateful for the care I receive however wish they were more on top of workload.

The “doctor” I was seeing at Housing Works told me she wasn’t even a real doctor and then she stopped returning my emails, which was the only way I had to contact her. I emailed her many times but she never bothered to answer. I tried calling Housing Works in Brooklyn but they do not answer the phone- ever!! They need to tell everyone that they have shut down their clinic on Lawrence street because they are no longer providing services. They left me stranded with no psychiatrist, no medication and not even the decency to explain what is going on and why they employed someone who was licensed to practice as a doctor. I want there for a few years and then nothing! So unprofessional - feels like some kind of scam to me. I guess I do t want to go to a place that treats people like that anyway but it’s hard being DUMPED by a not even a real doctor. It’s pretty upsetting really and now I have to find a new psychiatrist old turkey which is not proving easy at all - I feel royally scammed by Housong Works, just my experience own personal experience. It was fine until it wasn’t… just plain weird!!

If I could give them zero stars I would. This place is awful; poor communication, the absolute worst doctors some of which will go behind your back, no decorum or accountability nothing. This only applies to this centre though, I’ve had a great experience with the mental health department which has been a godsend in helping me recover from a devastating car crash and the mental health struggles it left me with. But with this place itself, I have never seen a more incompetent group of adults who have no idea what they are doing. First doctor went behind my back and wasn’t even my PCP but did something as if she was setting off a completely unwarranted chain of events (she now has a formal complaint against her that is being worked on), when I signed up with this place it took them ages and I mean ages to even find me a primary care doctor. That turned out to be a complete nightmare see above. Lost medications; prescriptions sent to the wrong pharmacy, rude staff, doctors who and I kid you not have been described as if you’re chatting with a young girl down Starbucks at 2pm with a bad case of the zoomies on their iPhone. The list is long. There is absolutely nothing good that I have to say about this healthcare centre here other than the INCREDIBLY KIND prep coordinator Liv. That’s all I got. She is as of late and I mean late like at least a year or more now (problems just stacking up with these guys) the only positive encounter I’ve ever had with housing works at this location.
